my ring.
Ono our first anniversary Brian and I exchanged rings. Which really just sounds so cheesy now, but still I LOVED that ring. Brian had it engraved, "pulchritude." I don't remember why Brian and I started using that word so much, but we did say it to each other all the time. I wore the ring every single day for 6 years until I lost it.
We were at Patty and Uncle Chris's house for Halloween and I took the ring off before I went to bed and when I woke up it was gone. I couldn't find it anywhere in our room. Their carpet is really plush and I always suspected that it was lost under the bed, hidden in the carpet. Uncle Chris even went through the trashed pumpkin carving scraps to look for it, but had no luck. So it was gone and I was devastated. Every single time I thought about that ring I burst into tears. A month after I lost that ring Brian gave me another, my engagement ring.
So Sunshine called me a couple of weeks ago and said that while rearranging that room she found my ring. I started crying when I heard the message. I'm so stoked!

one decade down...
This coming Friday is mine and Brian's 10th anniversary! Ten! As in a decade!
It was 10 years ago that Brian was 45 minutes late picking me up for our first date. I fell in love with him that night. I was 19 and he was 21. Can you believe that? Babies!!
When we first moved in together, in Feb 2003, we said "okay in three months we'll either break up or we'll be together forever." And since then we've changed jobs, gotten engaged, moved to Pasadena, became parents (of George), got married, and moved to NY. The funny thing is that I feel like we've only just begun. Who knows where we'll be in another 10 years? What we'll be doing for a living. Or where we'll live. But it is comforting to know that we'll be together.
I feel very lucky to have Brian as my partner. He makes me very happy. We have fun together. We love each other. cue cheesy music

Brian's Birthday Bowling Bash
We all went bowling on Saturday at The Gutter Bar in Brooklyn. It was a fun time, despite me having zero bowling skills. I'll blame the beer.
