So January is over. This month went by so fast, which is probably telling of the rest of the year. I'm doing pretty good with my resolutions. I have a trainer at the gym and I did 36 push-ups on a bar (which don't count, I know. But give me some credit). Guitar is going well. I still love my teacher, but I have a hard time making the time to practice. This has been a busy and stressful month and I'm not doing well at the whole leave work at work thing, but guitar is making me really happy. Last night Brian and I jammed, I sang (no haven't started voice lessons) and he played. It was fun. I'm getting a sewing machine from my Grandma this week. So by the end of February I'll have finished the quilt I started making for Dominic over a year ago.
I'm not really doing well with the keeping in touch with friends thing. I miss my friends. And I can use the "I'm busy" excuse, but it's still an excuse.
I traveled a lot this month. I went to New York, Park City (which I still need to post pictures and write about), Kearney and Disneyland (it is a world of it's own). Feb will bring Vegas, Utah and Colorado.
The best thing to happen this month...um, that would probably be when I saw Ben. God, I'm pathetic.

I'm sitting at a bar in the Denver airport, drinking a beer, eating lunch and working. Oh, the life of a travelling salesman.
Oh, and just a recap on my day. I locked the keys to my rental car inside the car. I realized this at 12:15 and had to catch a flight that left at 1:07. The rental car dude had to drive out to meet me at the hotel with spare keys. I got to the airport at 12:53. Thankfully the airport in Kearney, Nebraska is the size of our house, so it wasn't too big of a deal. Except that they searched all my bags and threw a bunch of stuff away...AWESOME! I love Bush and the Orange, or whatever it is, terror alert! We're going to win this war on terror and the first step is to throw away my 5oz bottle of face wash!

I'm in Park City right now for the Sundance Film Festival. It's beautiful here, but really fucking cold. The cold doesn't seem too bad though because I just found out that Ben (aka Scott Speedman) has a movie at the Slamdance Film Festival. That means that I'm in this small little town with him. He probably won't fall in love with me though because I have a humongous zit on my face. Geez, what luck.

I LOVE this photo. Audrey is smiling at her Uncle Brian and George is licking his lips in anticpation of Audrey's feet. So cute. I'm so glad that Ken and Jacqueline came out to see us in Pasadena.

like mother like daughter
If there was ever a question of whether Judy was my mother last night provided the answer. While washing the dishes I picked up a broken glass and began washing it. The glass broke over my hand, creating 5 blood gushing cuts. I'm so turning into my mother. Today I'm walking around like a boxer with bandages on my hand.
Who knows maybe by next week I'll be rolling cocaine in my cigarettes.

Is it too late to add resolutions to my list?
Well I'm going to do it anyway.
7. Cook more interesting food. Put all my rad kitchen stuff and cookbooks to good use.
8. Keep in touch with my friends better. I don't want any of them getting married in 10 years and not inviting me. :)

So it's 2007.
I ended 2006 with a bang... I broke a mirror. So I guess 2014 will be a really great year for me.
My last weekend of the year was great. It was so nice to hang out in Pasadena and not have to drive anywhere. Sonny came out on Saturday and we went to look at the Rose Parade floats. It was fascinating. (can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?) I did have a lot of fun hanging out with the Doobs and extra special fun when we were all tipsy by 7:00, talking about debt and religion. Good times.
On Sunday Audrey, Jacqueline and Ken came out to visit. Our couch smelled like Audrey after they left and I tried to bottle the scent but it didn't work. hee hee. George was so cute sniffing his new little cousin. I have a cute picture (to follow) of him almost kissing her face. That baby is so well behaved. She just let some crazy cat come right up to her and didn't scream in fear. Ken and Jacqueline are lucky parents. She didn't even cry when Brian lifted her out of the car seat only to find that she had leaked pee and poo all over her back! "Dude, she is really sweaty" he said. haha.
Sunday night was the Laker game. It was so fun and we sat super close. The couple making out in front of us during the entire game was not fun. I don't understand how people can be comfortable hugging and kissing like that for hours. It was gross. After the game we went to a bar in Chinatown which was cool and novel, but I was glad we left before midnight. We rang in the New Year in our favorite spot...the couch. I couldn't have dreamed of a better way to begin a new year.
ps...I think this is the type of post "they" tell you not to write. No one wants a play by play of your weekend. well...sorry bout it. :)
