Brian surprised me with flowers today. My favorites, stargazer lilies and irises. They are going to be beautiful when they open up. And how cool is it that the Empire State Building is in the background? Today is good day!

happy (belated) thanksgiving!
So now that I can never eat again, Happy Thanksgiving!!!
My in-laws (hahahaha, still so weird to say that) were in town for the holiday. We had a lot of fun! We went to see the Macy's Parade floats the night before the big day, which was really cool. I have pictures to post, but Hello, I'm lazy! For dinner we went to Carmines with Wendi and her parents. It was super yummy. Or, as Wendi would say, it was 4 yums! Friday night, Brian and I went to the Opera with his parents. It was so much better than I expected. The Met is beautiful and our seats were perfect. It's insane to hear those people sing so beautifully, and loud.
Speaking of singing... After Thanksgiving dinner, Brian, Wendi, Levi and I thought it would be a really good idea to get super super drunk and sing Karaoke. And it was an even better idea to video tape it, and then post it on the very public interweb. You might want to turn your volume low for this one...it hurts.

Happy 9 years!!!
Today is our 9 year anniversary! That's a long time, people! This photo was taken at Sundance in 2002. I can't find any pictures before that on the interweb because digital cameras weren't that common when we started dating. Speaking of the interweb, we still used dial up back in November of 1998. hahahah
I love you, B!

Happy Birthday, Brian!!!!
Brian, my husband, turns 30 today!! I have a 30-year-old husband! It just sounds weird. When I met Brian he was only 20...can you believe that? Just a week shy of his 21st birthday! I'm so lucky to have met the love of my life so young. We've spent nearly a decade together. But if you would have told me nine years ago that I would be living in NY with Brian, celebrating his 30th Birthday I would have laughed in disbelief.
So to celebrate the big 3-0, George and I made a party for Brian. While the birthday boy was out with work peeps last night, we wrapped presents and got all the decorations together. Patty sent cool Transformer party stuff. George is a really big help when it comes to wrapping. He lays on top of the paper so that you can't use it. At one point I put the curling ribbon down my shirt to prevent him from eating it. And when I put all the wrapped presents in a bag to hide from Brian, George went ahead and jumped in the bag to make sure everything was secure.
This morning, George and I got up early to get the party ready. We put out the Transformer table cloth, napkins, party favors, masks and a Happy Birthday sign. Then I made breakfast. I meant to make an omelet but it didn't work, so Brian got a cheesy scramble. Brian didn't get home until 2am last night, and he was a little "tipsy", so the 8am wake up call didn't really go over that well. But he loved the party. We ate breakfast and then opened presents.

He got a Wii from his parents*
A digital frame from his bro's and sis.
And a really cool photo album, full of Brian pics, from his Grandma Patsy and mom.
Happy Birthday, Brian. I love you!
*Note to self! Do not give husband Wii at the beginning of the day. He played it for almost an hour, and didn't get ready for work until 10am!!!

i'm fast, bitches!
The weekend was awesome!!! Abby was here. We hung out with the party animal as much as we all could handle. It was fun seeing her in the city. On Sunday Brian and I went to Central Park to watch the marathoners. The park is so beautiful right now. The trees look so vibrant and the brisk fall weather is perfect. I was so emotional watching the runners, I left thinking I'd want to run another marathon. Um...probably won't happen. But, listen to this, I'm faster than Katie Holmes. I saw today that she ran the marathon, and she did it slower than I did mine. HA! You may have cute hair and a cute kid, but you're slow, Katie!!!!
oh, and ps, I have an iPhone! woo hoo!!!
