Hopefully you all took my advice and read the
Tournament of Books. The winner was announced today and has made it to the top of my "must read" list. Now I just have to finish last year's winner. It's pretty good so far.

Kersten sent this picture in honor of George and Pepper's birthday, which was on Saturday. Pepper was the last of the kittens to find a home so she was lucky enough to stay with K & K.
On Saturday we had Kersten, Ken, Sonny, Jacqueline, Ken, Audrey and Shae over for a little celebration. I tried to make vegan cupcakes for the vegans that birthed George, but they didn't turn out well. So we put a candle in a tofutti cutie and sang "Happy Birthday."

Yes, I had a birthday party for my cat...think of me what you will. But look at that face, how could you not through a party for him? :)
