like mother like daughter

If there was ever a question of whether Judy was my mother last night provided the answer. While washing the dishes I picked up a broken glass and began washing it. The glass broke over my hand, creating 5 blood gushing cuts. I'm so turning into my mother. Today I'm walking around like a boxer with bandages on my hand.

Who knows maybe by next week I'll be rolling cocaine in my cigarettes.

Is it too late to add resolutions to my list?
Well I'm going to do it anyway.

7. Cook more interesting food. Put all my rad kitchen stuff and cookbooks to good use.

8. Keep in touch with my friends better. I don't want any of them getting married in 10 years and not inviting me. :)

So it's 2007.

I ended 2006 with a bang... I broke a mirror. So I guess 2014 will be a really great year for me.

My last weekend of the year was great. It was so nice to hang out in Pasadena and not have to drive anywhere. Sonny came out on Saturday and we went to look at the Rose Parade floats. It was fascinating. (can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?) I did have a lot of fun hanging out with the Doobs and extra special fun when we were all tipsy by 7:00, talking about debt and religion. Good times.

On Sunday Audrey, Jacqueline and Ken came out to visit. Our couch smelled like Audrey after they left and I tried to bottle the scent but it didn't work. hee hee. George was so cute sniffing his new little cousin. I have a cute picture (to follow) of him almost kissing her face. That baby is so well behaved. She just let some crazy cat come right up to her and didn't scream in fear. Ken and Jacqueline are lucky parents. She didn't even cry when Brian lifted her out of the car seat only to find that she had leaked pee and poo all over her back! "Dude, she is really sweaty" he said. haha.

Sunday night was the Laker game. It was so fun and we sat super close. The couple making out in front of us during the entire game was not fun. I don't understand how people can be comfortable hugging and kissing like that for hours. It was gross. After the game we went to a bar in Chinatown which was cool and novel, but I was glad we left before midnight. We rang in the New Year in our favorite spot...the couch. I couldn't have dreamed of a better way to begin a new year.

ps...I think this is the type of post "they" tell you not to write. No one wants a play by play of your weekend. well...sorry bout it. :)

B to the Z on the GO

Watch out I'm on the go.The below post was my first mobile post from my phone. The picture is of one of the cute little birdies that hang all over LA. If anyone knows who is responsible for those let me know because I LOVE them!

2007 here I come...

Brian and I just bought Lakers tickets for New Years Eve! yay! We get to start off the year doing something we love...watching basketball and drinking $20 coronas. It's going to be a lot of fun.

My 2006 was pretty awesome! Here's a list of the highlights:

-I got married to my best friend! So did about 200 other friends of mine. It was the year of weddings and it rocked!
-I became a mom and an aunt (please look at my flickr page for a gazillion photos of George and Audrey)
-Brian and I moved to Pasadena and became domestic.
-I travelled a lot. Cities I visited include: Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, New York, Kearney, Chicago, Kauai, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, Mammoth, Napa, and Cabo. How rad is that?

I'm sure I made some New Year's Resolutions for 2006. And I'm pretty positive one of them was to do 3 push-ups in a row. I did not accomplish that.

So my 2007 Resolutions are (so far):
1. do 3 push-ups in a row
2. go the gym and get cute for Maui
3. keep up guitar and start voice lessons
4. start sewing again
5. have a positive attitude about work and keep doing things to make me happy outside of work (see numbers 2-4)
6. turn off the TV

boooooring

I posted a new flickr badge. This one is much better because it chooses a random selection from all my photos not just the most recent. That means we all get to look back at memories together...isn't that fun! Aren't all 5 readers really really excited?!

I'm so tired right now. Work is super slow and it's the holidays. I would much rather be at home snuggled up on the couch w/ George. We can make a fire, watch movies and drink hot chocolate.

Oh, by the way, I never thanked Mother Nature for bringing the cold. Good job!

PS. How random is this post? Can you tell I'm BORED?

I hope her time with Audrey didn't give her the itch for grandbabies of her own. :)
