It's official...
We are yuppies.
We are adopting a kitten, George, from Ken Hall and Kersten and couldn't be more excited. In fact, last night we went to Petsmart and stocked up on goodies for our new baby. We got toys, a bed, a scratcher, a food bowl and a water bowl. But not just any water bowl, a yuppie water bowl. It's a fountain. George is a privileged cat.
What's going to happen when we have a kid?

It's all over...
The Miami Heat are winners. Good for them. I'm bummed Dallas didn't win but whatever. Miami was the shit the past four games. D. Wade is amazing. So how sad can I be?
The best part about last night's game...Shaq taking the MVP trophy out of Stern's hands so he could hand it to Wade himself. Fantastic.

i do.
Sometimes when Abby and I are avoiding work we'll email each other to-do lists. Lately it's been about the wedding. Basically I'll create the list and she'll comment on each point. The list today was pretty short because I think most everything is taken care of. (I can say that now because I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.) Here's Abby's suggestion for our vows...pretty classic.
8. vows.
BZ"sorry bout u, sorry bout me, just say i do so we can be a family"
BM" sorry bout u, sorry bout me, now spread them legs bitch and give me a baby"

surprise!!!!!
After a long (and sick) week in New York, I came home to a very nice weekend. On Saturday I woke up early, got my hair did and had my first fitting on my wedding dress. I LOVE IT!!!! I feel so beautiful and bridal. I can't wait to walk down the aisle. And to make me feel even more special my AMAZING friends threw a surprise lingerie party for me on Sunday. It was so awesome and really lifted my spirits. I've been so down lately and it helps to know I have such loving people in my life. Kristie and Katie really spoiled me with the whole thing. And everyone gave me such beautiful lingerie to wear on the honeymoon. I'm so lucky to have the friends I do. I miss them a lot. I was crying on the drive home thinking of how sad I am to live so far away.
Shae spent the night on Saturday. She is so freakin' cute. B and I had so much fun hanging out with her. We walked to the park, played with the dinosaur puzzle and toy dinosaurs (she's obsessed), watched the dragon movie and threw towels on each other's heads. Every 5 minutes Shae would say, "Becky I love you." And I thought the fake sneezing was cute...

a new remedy...
What do you do when you have really bad anxiety and the lack of sleep is making you really depressed?
Buy a talking watch that tells the time in Japanese! It's so cute and makes me really happy. I have no idea what is saying though. "Or should I say dashimash" is what it sounds like...who speaks Japanese?

i'm goin' craazzayy...
When Brian and I first moved in together I was a psycho crazy cleaner. Of course this is when I worked two jobs, worked out 4 days a week and apparently had a lot of energy. Then I started to go crazy, literally, and Paxil came to the rescue. I took it to help with my anxiety attacks and it did the job well. But with the Paxil came a sense of laziness about cleaning. Every since I started taking Paxil about 2 years ago, and even after I stopped 3 months later, I haven't been as nuts about cleaning the house.
Last week I started having really bad anxiety attacks again. These were the worst I've ever had. I couldn't breath, I was shaking, my mind was racing...not good. So when I went to the doctor about my knee on Friday I asked her for something to calm me down. Paxil to the rescue! I was nervous to start taking it again for a couple of reasons.
1.) It's hard to come to terms with the fact that your mind needs help coping with things.
2.) I know this is all stress induced and I didn't want to over react by taking pills.
3.) I'm worried that the Paxil will make me even more blah about everything. ie. cleaning.
My anxiety attacks were fine over the weekend, though this morning is a different story, and I'm happy that I decided to take it again. Hopefully it will calm me down and help me enjoy everything that's going on. But the really good news is that I was mopping the kitchen floor last night at 9:30. Does this mean that the new Paxil reversed the lazy cleaning effects from before? I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
