Remember that scene in the Royal Tennenbaums when Richie...

Is there anything in the world more frustrating than putting together IKEA furniture? Maybe putting together IKEA furniture w/out all the correct parts.

Brian was busy working on IM stuff last night so I decided to put our new dressers together. Just thinking about the pieces laid all over our livingroom floor makes me want to punch the computer. Needless to say I failed in my mission. Not because I'm inadequate but because IKEA doesn't have good quality control in their Czech Republic warehouses. The dresser is missing a 2 tracks, 4 bolts, 2 little wood pieces, and 4 anchor thingys. So now what? We have to drive all the way back to freakin' IKEA to return the dresser and/or pick up the missing components. Are you kidding me?

We almost had a murder/suicide on our hands last night. Because if there was an IKEA exec in our house last night I would have killed him. Then, for fear of prison, I would have killed myself. Then Brian probably would have killed himself because he would be so sad to see me dead.

haha ...

Dude, she was about to go mental! She refused to give up. She was staring at the floor with all the pieces neatly organized, trying to will the missing parts into existence.

your missing parts are probably "stuck in customs" like the legs to our couch we ordered in 1987.

You don't have to pack up the dresser. But you will have to go to an Ikea to pick up the missing parts. Yeah, putting together furniture sucks.
